How to Apply

Healthcare Management A.A.S. Concentrations

Choose a concentration that aligns with your goals and area of interest. Need help? Meet with your advisor to figure out which concentration is right for you.

Medical Management

The Medical Management concentration will prepare you to manage the specialized business functions in a healthcare organization. This concentration focuses on healthcare organizations, the role of healthcare workers, information technology, business operations, financial management, personnel supervision, and the regulatory and ethical issues of healthcare.

You will be able to work as a Front Desk Coordinator, Patient Service Representative, or Office Manager.

Medical Coding

The Medical Coding concentration focuses on the fundamentals of healthcare organizations with specialized training in Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD). This concentration focuses on medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, fundamentals of medical science and treatment procedures, data classification and coding, and regulations relating to Medicare and insurance documentation. 

You will be able to work as a Coding Specialist, Reimbursement Specialist, or Office Manager.
