Ready to Reconnect Program

Workforce development is critical to the continued growth and development of Nashville. Through a $7.8 million dollar grant approved by the Metro Council, using funds from the American Rescue Plan, The Urban League of Middle Tennessee and Nashville State Community College are working collaboratively with industry, community, nonprofit, faith-based, and governmental organizations to expand the vision of workforce development and strengthen family foundations in Davidson County.

    1. Advanced Manufacturing - Industrial Readiness Training
    2. Emergency Medical Technician – 911 Response Pathway

      The EMT 911 pathway prepares students for emergency response careers through training in emergency medical care, trauma response, patient stabilization, safety protocols, and certification preparation for 911 emergency service environments and public safety employment.

    3. Healthcare - Patient Care Technician
    4. Hospitality Management / Culinary Arts - ServSafe Certifications including line cook, station chef, and hospitality
    5. Information Technology - User support/help desk and networking
    6. Medical Assistant (MA) Career Line

      The medical assistant pathway continues to grow as a direct-to-work healthcare credential. This pathway supports clinical readiness, healthcare professionalism, and employment placement support through partnerships with healthcare employers. Students also receive continued workforce advisor support as they transition into employment or consider further academic advancement.

    7. Phlebotomy Training Line

      The phlebotomy pathway provides students with foundational laboratory and patient care skills, preparing them for immediate entry into clinical healthcare settings.

    8. Surveying and FAA Drone Certification Pathway

      An entry-level surveying and FAA drone training pathway designed to prepare students for careers in land surveying, mapping technology, and aerial data collection. This pathway provides industry-recognized technical skills aligned with growing infrastructure and technology workforce needs.
