Application Process for Students 

 Eligible students:  

• are currently enrolled or accepted at a member institution  

• have a minimum 2.0 GPA indicated on an official transcript at the time of application and are in “good standing” – this includes academic and disciplinary matters  

• have completed a minimum of 12 college level credit hours (by the start of the program)  

• will be 18 years old by the start of the program

Scholarship Information 

A limited number of competitive scholarships are available and may cover up to 50% of TBR Global Studies Program Fees.   

Priority Scholarship Consideration 

Students who complete their application requirements by the dates below will receive priority consideration for scholarships. To qualify, both the application which includes a motivational statement and faculty recommendation must be submitted by the deadline. 

• November 2 for Spring Programs 

• December 1 for Summer Programs 

Applications received after these deadlines may still be eligible for scholarship funding, depending on availability. 

• Step 1: Apply for a TBR Global Studies program. TBR Global Studies Application Process 

• Step 2: Wait for Review The International Education Scholarship Committee will review applications and may invite some students to participate in a brief interview. 

• Step 3: Scholarship Notification Scholarship recipients are notified by November 15 for Spring Programs and by January 15 for Summer Programs. 

• Step 4: Confirm Participation Students accepting their scholarship must submit the $100 application fee* within two weeks of notification that they’ve received a scholarship. 

⚠️ $100 Application fee is NON-REFUNDABLE – If your participation in a study program requires that you receive scholarship funds, then do not pay it until you’ve received scholarship notification. 

Every NSCC student who participates in a TBR Global Studies program receives a fee waiver that covers the cost of the course tuition and institutional fees. That waiver is applied to your NSCC account after confirmation of attendance in the program.

Fee payment process

Once fees are paid to NSCC it may be up to 7 days before the fees are reflected in your Global Studies student portal.

If applying to more than one program, student must pay application fee for each program.
