Each of our A.S. programs is designed to transfer into a specialty at Nashville State, Belmont University, or another institution. Before entering the Health Science A.S. program, you’ll decide which one of the following pathways aligns best with your interests. 
If you're interested in Nashville State’s Nursing A.A.S. program, this is the pathway for you. Take the prerequisite courses and be prepared for the A.A.S. program.
Start your education toward a career as an occupational therapy assistant with this Health Science A.S. pathway. Complete the prerequisite courses and be prepared for the OTA program.
Interested in applying to Nashville State’s Surgical Technology A.A.S. program? This pathway of the Health Science A.S. program is for you! Complete the prerequisite courses and be prepared for the Surgical Technology program.

This associate in health science to nursing pathway prepares you to transfer your studies to a nursing program of your choosing. Because of the varying entry points for acceptance/entrance into baccalaureate nursing programs and the different structures of nursing curricula, this curriculum is applicable to most university nursing majors.
