ESL FAQs
You should apply for admission to Nashville State.
We recommend you take only one or two classes if you are working full-time. If you are working part-time, you will be able to handle more classes.
Financial Aid pays for unlimited ESOL classes if you qualify, and it will pay for up to 30 hours of learning support classes. Check with Financial Aid to apply for assistance.
Classes are offered during the Fall, Spring and Summer academic terms. In-person classes are available during the day at the Southeast Campus, and virtual classes on Zoom are available at night.
Cost depends on your residency status (in Tennessee or out-of-state) and how many classes you take. Each ESL course is 3 credit hours. See the cost per credit hour here.
