Summer 2021: Gateway to GRAD

The Nashville GRAD program provides eligible Nashville State Community College students with financial and academic support. Gateway to GRAD is available to MNPS 2021 and 2020 graduates. Limited availability. First come, first served. Programs will be offered on the White Bridge and Southeast campuses.

Get Early Access to:

  • Advising and fall semester registration
  • Campus resources such as technology, financial aid support, career services, and food assistance
  • New Student Orientation

You will take NSCC 1010, First Year Experience for free and start your college education now! You will also participate in fun engagements to learn about being a college student, and you can take college classes or participate in a program to test out of learning supports all for free!

How to Sign-up for Gateway to GRAD:

  1. Complete a Fall 2021 Nashville State application
  2. Complete the Nashville GRAD application below – deadline June 23

We know that completing college can be a tough task, especially for students who already work hard to cope with many responsibilities while earning their degrees. And we want to help.

The Nashville GRAD program provides eligible students with financial and academic support while pursuing a full-time education at Nashville State. We will give you the support you need to complete your degree.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Enroll full-time at Nashville State Community College in an Associate Degree or Technical Certificate program*
  • Reside full-time in Davidson County one year prior to completing the FAFSA
  • Not have previously earned an associate's or baccalaureate degree, and have less than 15 credits prior to applying to the program

*Some exclusions may apply based upon math placement and degree program. Contact a Student Success Advisor or for more information.

How to Join

To maintain eligibility, students must:

  • Maintain a 2.0 GPA
  • Complete the FAFSA each year
  • Participate in Nashville GRAD's academic and personal success initiatives
