Dual Enrollment Students
Dual Enrollment students receiving Dual Enrollment Grant are charged as follows: $185 per credit hour up to 12 credits - $2,220; additional $40 per credit hour above 12 and $9.25 access fee per credit hour up to 12 hours and $2.00 per credit hour above 12. Dual Enrollment students not receiving grant will be assessed standard rates. Dual Enrollment students ages 18 and over must prove residency.

Note: TN eCampus courses are all charged at a per-hour rate and billed separately from other NSCC online or on-campus courses. TN eCampus fees are not included in the full-time cap applicable to all other types of courses. For example, if a student enrolls in 15 hours, including one 3-hour TN eCampus class, the tuition and fees would be charged at 12 hours for the NSCC courses plus the full rate for 3 hours eCampus.
TN Reconnect and TN Promise only pay up to the amount of regular tuition and fees for the hours registered and do not cover TN eCampus classes.

Cost of Attendance
The following Financial Aid Cost of Attendance (COA) reflects an average of direct (billable) and indirect (non-billable) expenses you may incur while attending Nashville State. The total amount is not what you will owe to Nashville State. Typically, the total of your financial aid / educational assistance cannot exceed your COA.

Licensure/Professional Certification
NSCC programs do not require licensure/professional certifications. However, the following programs do have extra fees that may be added upon request (with documentation or if they are listed on the Student Account) or to prevent an overaward, the FA office may add them if they are posted on the Student Account.
- Surgical Technology: $200 for test prep, $300 for test
- Central Sterile Processing Technology: $100 for test prep; $150 for test
- Nursing: $600 for test prep (typically spread over four semesters)
Adjustments to Cost of Attendance
The Financial Aid Office may also adjust the COA on a documented case-by-case basis. Contact Financial Aid at Financial.Aid@nscc.edu to determine if you have additional costs that may be included in your COA. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Required equipment or the rental/upfront purchase of a personal computer
- Mileage to and from work
- Dependent care, such as daycare expenses
- Disability related expenses, not covered by insurance or other agencies
- Dependent student who lives on their own and pays their own housing cost
