Nashville State Visual Communications' Students Win Big at Local ADDY Competition
Three students from Nashville State Community College’s Visual Communications program took home seven American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) during a recent local competition among several universities and colleges.
The winning entries came from:
- Landon Edwards (AAS Graphic Design)
- Anna Conoley (AAS Graphic Design & Photography)
- Erica Avi Hart (AAS Photography)
Nashville State’s award-winning students won in the following categories: Logo Design, Stationery Package Design, Book Design, Color Photography, and Black and White Photography.
“Winning an ADDY is such an achievement. The entries are judged by industry professionals, and our students go head to head with others from four-year institutions, so it says a lot about their talent and our program that we can compete and make such an impressive showing,” said Beth Trabue Gorham, Assistant Professor, Photography and Visual Communications.
The Nashville-area student ADDY competition is one of the most competitive in the nation, with a plethora of entries from Nossi College of Art, Watkins College of Art, Middle Tennessee State University, and Belmont University.
Nashville State Community College Foundation provided a grant to cover the student entry fees.
