Healthcare Workforce Collaboration Continues Producing Successful Outcomes for VUMC

At a December 2023 graduation ceremony, Nashville State, VUMC, and family and friends celebrated with cohorts five and six of the Medical Assistant program and cohort two of the Central Sterile Processing Technician program.

The graduates transition to full-time MA and CSPT roles at a VUMC location.

The programs, developed by Nashville State's Center for Workforce Development & Continuing Education and School of Health Sciences, and VUMC's Center for Programs in Allied Health, address staffing needs.

"We are very excited about the successful outcomes these programs are producing for VUMC and their employees," said Nashville State's Director of Healthcare Partnerships John Cunningham. "It continues making an impact in addressing a vital staffing need while providing economic mobility for those graduates that have invested in themselves and their careers."
