Join the Nashville State English Program Faculty for an Evening of Poetry and Fiction

3.17.25

The School of Arts & Humanities invites you to a captivating evening of poetry and fiction on Thursday, March 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the theater of the Health Sciences (H) Building on the White Bridge campus.

In an effort to showcase the literary talent within the Nashville State community, Assistant Professor of English Mark W. Helm, organized the public reading event, which features published poets, novelists, and short fiction writers—each bringing their distinct voice to the stage.

“I decided to organize this public reading event because, frankly, there are so many incredible writers on our Nashville State English faculty,” said Helm.

“We have two published novelists, poets who have published books, and others who have published in several well-respected journals. I thought it was high time we shared all this creative talent with the community!”

Whether you’re a fan of poetry, fiction, or both, it promises to be a night full of literary fun.

This event is open to all, and we encourage the public to join us for what will be a wonderful and inspiring evening!
