Nashville State Community College invites the community to attend the Visual Communications Spring Portfolio showcase to be held on April 30th from 5-7:00 p.m. The showcase will feature the work of 19 graduating students in the Visual Communications program at Nashville State Community College that includes photography, graphic design, multimedia, and web design. The show will be held in the art gallery space in the H building located on the north side of the campus at 120 White Bridge Road in Nashville. Admission is free and open to the public.

The two-year Visual Communications Associate of Applied Science program at Nashville State puts students in a creative environment with state-of-the-art technology to learn design principles, current image technology, business practices, and portfolio development. Students will display their best work including printed pieces, illustrations, brochures, photography, and web sites.

“We work with these students for two years developing their knowledge and creative skills that are necessary to work in a rapidly changing industry.” said Emily Naff, associate professor of Photography. “This event is all about letting them shine and show off their creative works while at the same time giving them exposure.”
