Nashville State Provides Students with Academic and Non-academic Resources

Nashville State students will return to campus for the Spring 2025 semester on January 21.

While college can be stressful for many, Nashville State has put in place programs and support services for students to help them succeed and thrive.

The support offered covers a wide array of areas since life for students doesn’t stop at the classroom door.

The resources available to students range from academic and financial to personal and career services. For nearly every need there is a place for students to find the resources and guidance they may need.

• Academic Support 
  • From Tutoring Services to the Writing Center, Study Skills Workshops, and Access Center; every resource is at hand to help students succeed in the classroom.
• Personal Support 
  • Food and Personal Item Online Ordering (Falcon Market), Counseling Services, Wellness Programs, Student Life Activities, and programs to assist with Textbook and Childcare costs, and diapers for parenting students. These and more are all available to students to help them in the classroom and beyond.
• Financial Support 
  • Financial aid is a critical component to supporting students. Here you can find resources for Scholarships and Grants as well as Work-Study opportunities.
• Career Services 
  • Nashville State is committed to helping every student fulfill their potential and that includes finding a great job. To assist students with that search they can find Job Placement Assistance, Internships Opportunities, and Resume Workshops as they plan for life after graduation.
• Additional Support 
  • The college also provides additional support ranging from logistical needs like Flexible Scheduling. There are also programs in place to support Military Veteran students and programs for those with Previous Life Experience the chance to gain school credit. And, for those interested there are even Study Abroad opportunities.

With these programs and more Nashville State is working to support students during their educational journey at the college.
