The Nashville State Community College Foundation held The Falcon Awards on October 24, 2023, to highlight outstanding Nashville State alumni and partners in recognition of significant professional achievement and service to their community.

Omid Panah loves working with his hands to solve problems that require highly technical solutions.
To quickly get up to speed and to boost his confidence, he took some remedial and ESOL courses at Nashville State, before deciding on the Surgical Technology program, which he “saw as a gateway to the healthcare profession.”
Travis White came to Nashville State to change his career path and increase his earnings. Using the Tennessee Reconnect tuition assistance grant, White studied Electrical Engineering Technology.
At the encouragement of friends who had attended Nashville State, he enrolled.
Adele Miller has a sincere desire to help others. A combination of her upbringing and own experiences in life have shaped Adele’s outlook on life.
At Nashville State, Kimberly was able to complete her prerequisites at an affordable cost. She would go to her full-time job during the day and attend night courses, while trying to create a schedule that would still allow time with her growing family....
The 2016 graduate of Nashville State’s Health Sciences program transferred to MTSU, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science (Kinesiology) and after a little time off is now pursuing her master’s degree in occupational therapy.
